First Step to a Healthy Aging Life
Every morning, I start my day by measuring my blood pressure.
Then I do a 5-minute squat session, listening to how my body feels.
I take three types of supplements daily, without fail.
And most importantly, I feel at ease through a small conversation with my wife.
These simple daily routines are the foundation of my health and happiness.

At 5:45 AM, my blood pressure reads 130/82, with a pulse of 50.
Depending on the person, these numbers may seem high or low.
But for me, it’s my usual baseline — a familiar reflection of how I’m doing today.
Checking in with my body through these numbers is one small but powerful way
I stay connected with myself — and a daily step in my journey toward healthy aging.
Today again, I head to work.
As I sway in the train on my commute, I see all kinds of passengers — students, workers, each likely carrying their own thoughts and burdens while riding the same train.
Outside the window, a light rain is falling.
Rainy mornings tend to weigh on our mood.
Our steps feel heavier, and even our hearts can feel clouded.
It’s at moments like this that I ask myself,
“What small thing can I do to make this day a bit more positive?”
Listening to my body’s signals, gently acknowledging my emotions —
Even a small act of self-encouragement might just be the first step toward a fulfilling aging life.
Through this blog, I plan to share everyday encouragement messages —
Words from an old man who’s been through life’s ups and downs.
Things I can say now precisely because of my age and experience.
I hope to deliver small cheers to you who work hard every day.
Take it easy and read whenever you like.
Today’s Self-Encouragement Message
“Don’t blame yourself when things don’t go well. Even slow steps forward are still progress, as long as you keep moving.”
